Fish Skeleton (28" x 14", pen and watercolor) -  One early spring in the mid 1960s Mary and family were visiting their dear friends David and Susan McAllister in Middletown, Connecticut.  They decided to take a walk by the shores of the Connecticut River and came across this beautifully preserved carp skeleton.  In typical fashion, Mary scooped it up and brought it home, where it stayed for many months as she lovingly sketched and painted it.
