The Paintings of Mary McClellandBonesNo single theme is more ubiquitous in all of Mary's paintings than bones. Mary had a unique vision in the way she saw and painted the inner structure of animals as shining through their outer coverings, and bones played a huge part in this vision. Not only did she paint animals with bones showing through, but she also did a number of paintings of skulls and skeletons directly.
