The Paintings of Mary McClellandPeopleOn all her travels, Mary filled sketchbook after sketchbook with the faces of the people she saw. Most of these were of local people she encountered in one third world country or another; many, too, were candids captured while waiting in some exotic airport. She even managed a quick sketch of Paul McCartney, caught in the airport in Tunis sometime around 1970. Most of her paintings of people, though, were done in the early years, when she was still experimenting with different subjects. Click on an image...
