| Faces of India (pen and ink, 21" x 28") - Mary traveled to India many times, and always took her sketchbook. She was captivated by the great diversity and beauty of the people she saw, and made countless sketches of faces as she wandered the streets. Back at home in her studio, she merged these into this mysterious amalgam that skillfully captures the complexity and subtlety of her experience. |  |
