Italian Cow - Mary loved to visit with cows -
she claimed that to greet a cow one should breathe into its
nose so it can smell your breath.  This painting was done
after living in Florence for ten months, where she met many
Italian cows.  Facing away from the viewer, this cow seems
somehow remote and introspective in her pregnancy.
