Moth (10" x 9", ink and watercolor) - Mary's family and friends knew that she loved drawing and painting animals and often sent specimens to her.  In this case Mary sent a watercolor back with this message:

"I know he doesn't have the shakti-life-vibes as when you first caught him - but he's/she's reached a peaceful end - especially on a piece of paper!  The rest of him has joined the ecology - the organic recycling along with the millions of other moths, butterflies, insects, beetles, etc.  I like to think of all that richness growing and changing in the earth."
