Pregnant Cat  - Mary had a a succession of pet cats who would on occasion become pregnant.  This painting is one of series (along with Beetle and Large Cat) that she did using the technique of rolling two layers of different color paint onto paper and then scraping with a razor blade.  She liked this approach because it is another way of getting at what is underneath and letting it show through.
